Over the years, volunteers have played a vital role in helping us create safe, nurturing connections with children. Today, while our program model has evolved, that spirit of care and community remains central to our mission.   

Our work would not be possible without the generous and dedicated individuals and teams who give their time and talents to support the children and families of Beyond Bedtime. 

From organizing pajama and book drives, to hosting folding parties, to supporting a local chapter or even leading one, there are meaningful ways to support children and families in your own community. These actions help fuel our mission, bringing consistency, comfort, and sleep health education to the places it’s needed most.

Corporate Group Volunteering

Looking for a meaningful way to engage your teams? Beyond Bedtime offers unique, hands-on volunteer opportunities designed to build connection and create real impact for children and families.  

Whether your team is looking for an opportunity for a smaller group to have a meaningful touchpoint with our work or for a larger group to have a material impact in your local community, we’ll work with you to tailor an experience that aligns with your goals. These are more than just feel-good moments, they’re mission-fueled experiences that support our programs in tangible, lasting ways.

Sample engagements include:   

• Pajama Folding Parties: Turn teamwork into tangible, local impact. Support our annual distribution of more than 150,000 pajamas while building connection with your team. We can host groups of up to 30 volunteers at our New York City Center or bring the party to you! Whether at your workplace or as part of a larger engagement, we can ship a pajama folding party kit to you. 
• Bedtime READY for Kids Session (NYC Only): Bring your team into the heart of our mission at our New York City Center. Your team will inspire young minds in grades K-3 as children learn our READY Bedtime Routine and experience the joy of sharing a story. Volunteer and help children feel ready for tomorrow.

Chapter President Service

Our Chapter Presidents are extraordinary volunteers who lead with heart and help bring comfort, consistency, and bedtime joy to children in their own communities. 

Spread across the country, Chapter Presidents coordinate the local collection and distribution of pajamas and books, working closely with nearby schools, shelters, and service organizations. Chapter Presidents build local teams of volunteers and create systems that reflect the unique needs of their communities, all in service of better bedtimes for children facing adversity. 

As we grow into our next chapter as Beyond Bedtime, we’re exploring even more ways for Chapter Presidents to help deepen our impact—from grassroots fundraising efforts to future opportunities that support sleep health education. 

Sample engagements include:

• Pajama & Book Drives: Pajama and book drives are one of the most popular and meaningful ways to support Beyond Bedtime. Every new pair of pajamas and every storybook you collect helps a child feel safe, cared for, and ready to rest. It’s a simple act with a big impact, and a great way to rally your community around a shared cause. 
• Grassroots Fundraising: Chapter Presidents play an important part in our regional fundraising. Leaning into  their networks and putting forth individual effort, our Chapter Presidents have become strong advocates for Beyond Bedtime across the country. Whether identifying potential partnerships or bringing partners to us, their work helps us expand our reach and impact sustainably.
