Manhattan Chapter
Chapter President: Ariel Gedz agedz@beyondbedtime.org
Ariel Gedz, Manhattan Chapter President, is an emerging leader dedicated to advancing education, health literacy, and child well-being through community engagement and mentorship. Affiliated with Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City, Ariel brings a science-informed, equity-focused perspective to his work, helping make complex health and STEM concepts accessible and engaging for young learners. His experience includes STEM education, health literacy initiatives, and tutoring students in school settings, where he has developed a deep understanding of the challenges many families face and the importance of consistent, supportive adult relationships in a child’s development. Through his involvement in educational and community outreach efforts, Ariel has worked to expand access to valuable health and learning resources for underserved communities. As a resident of Washington Heights, he is passionate about ensuring that all children have access to the benefits of bedtime reading and healthy routines that support learning, well-being, and family connection. As a Beyond Bedtime chapter leader, Ariel brings energy, curiosity, and a strong commitment to empowering children and families while fostering a culture of literacy and opportunity throughout his community.
