Chris Wilson

National Education Director

Chris is thrilled to join Beyond Bedtime as National Education Director, bringing 18+ years of experience scaling programs and securing millions in funding to expand access to wellness resources and education for underserved communities.

Chris’s commitment to this work is personal. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, he saw firsthand what it means to navigate hard moments without a system built to truly support you. That experience shaped a belief he’s carried through his entire career: that the right structure and support, offered at the right moment, can change a young person’s trajectory. It’s the same belief driving Beyond Bedtime’s mission, and it’s what drew him here.

That belief has guided nearly two decades of work at the intersection of student wellness, digital coaching, and health equity. Most recently, Chris served as Director of Digital Coaching & Education at Release Recovery, leading two platforms, Release U and MANUAL, that provide digital coaching and wellness support to college students nationwide. Before that, he was part of the leadership team at Peer Health Exchange, where he co-designed selfsea.org with young people, a mental wellness platform for students that has since scaled to reach over a million young people. Earlier in his career, he led sexual health education and capacity-building initiatives at ETR and held research roles at UCLA. Across every role, Chris has been guided by the same core idea: real, lasting change often comes from small, sustainable shifts in behavior.

Chris holds a Master of Public Health from UCLA, with a focus in Community Health Sciences. Outside of work, he can usually be found at the gym, at the dog park, or on a long walk with his dog, Willow.
